The Turkish Ministry of Commerce has imposed definitive anti-dumping measures on imports of cold rolled stainless steel sheet from China, citing the findings that such imported goods are sold at prices below market value and cause substantial injury to the domestic industry.
The decision introduces an import tax of 3.95% on some cold-rolled stainless steel products made in China, in addition to the existing 12% tariff, bringing the total rate to about 16%. The tax is calculated on the basis of the total cost, including insurance and freight, and this measure takes effect immediately and will be in effect for five years.
